Heads Up! Concussion Awareness - This site has fact sheets and online training. The online training is required by the State of Minnesota  and Blessed Trinity for coaches and is recommended for parents and players.

Nutrition Information - Daily nutrition needs should be addressed with a balanced diet and regular meals. To fuel for late afternoon, or evening, basketball sessions, the girls should have a small snack after school that includes complex carbohydrates, some protein, and some healthy fats. High fat content and sugars should be very limited before a game, or practice. The girls should also hydrate with water, or a low-sugar sports drink, before arriving at the gym. Having a snack, or meal, of carbohydrates and protein within 15-30 minutes of the end of a game, or practice, will maximize recovery.

Home Treatment of Minor Injuries - Sprains, strains, bruises, and blisters are the most common injuries in youth basketball. The common treatment for all of them: ice, ice, ice.
